Just because it's funny...
Okay bloggers, I thought I would share that MIKE picked out this background. I was scrolling through them and he just came over, and was like "Pick that one, I like that one!" Hee hee! I'll make a blogger outta him yet!

Oh the Holidays...
Okay, so much has happened since my last post. Mike insisted I talk about my spill down the stairs. So we were on our way out the door for work on the 18th, and as we were going down the stairs my feet just went right out from under me and I fell. So there I was, now sitting on the stairs, covered in cereal, because of course when I started to slip everything went up in the air as I tried to catch myself, and Mike standing there with a stunned look on his face. I think if he hadn't been so concerned about me being hurt or not, he'd have busted out in laughter. All in all I received a cut hand a bruised finger and wrist, and my lovely 7inch x 4inch bruise on my bum/back area.
Anyway, on to more festive things! Christmas has come and gone and boy was Santa good to me this year. My presents included a Casio Lighted-Keys Keyboard (because I really want to learn how to play), a Nintendo DS, two pairs of slippers, an ironing board, a couple of gift cards, and a nice fuzzy blanket to cuddle up in. Mike had a good Christmas too. He walked away with a new digital camera, 2 sweater vests, a level (you know the tool that helps you hang stuff straight), a simpsons gift box set, and a handfull of cash which he plans on buying an iphone with. Christmas Day we went and saw the movie Marley and Me at the theater, and it was a great movie. We then went back to my parents house and played Scene It until it was time to go home.
The next day we went up to Murray, KY to visit with my Grandparents and the rest of my Moms family. We played lots of games including one called Settlers of Catan. It was so much fun, but very long. We also played a game called Bunco Ball, which Mike and I brought. You create a ball using newspaper and packing tape to conceal prizes. Once the ball is made, you arrange everyone in a circle, and take turns rolling dice, trying to get 7's, 11's, or doubles. When you land on those numbers you get a turn, trying to get the prizes out of the ball. Play continues until the ball is completely distroyed. It was a lot of fun. I'll have to get some pictures posted soon. I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas, and is set for a Happy New Year!

WOW! I'm bad at this...
Okay, so I've discovered I'm not the best blogger in the world, but I am going to try and do better. My new goal is to blog at least once a week, and get some pictures on here. Mike and I are busy preparing for Christmas. I finished my shopping last Saturday, so I have a pretty relaxing last two weeks. Mike, however, hasn't started. He keeps saying he's going but, alas, he has yet to make it out the door. Let's hope everything works out for him, hee hee. We'll be spending Christmas Day with my parents, and brother, opening presents and eating a wonderful breakfast. Then, I'm hoping to convince everyone to go and see "Marley and Me, '' which opens Christmas Day. The next day we are heading up to Kentucky to visit, and have Christmas with the rest of my family. Sadly, Mikes' relatives are too far away to visit this year, but maybe next year. We did draw names with his family, and Mike and I are going to get their gifts in the mail this week.
I started a new job the 1st week in November and it is working out so well. I actually just took a different position at my current employer, but the job is new to me. I actually look forward to going to work now, and my stress level has definitely gone down. I also don't have to be at work early anymore, well at least not as early. All in all it's been a great transition for me. Until next time bloggers...

Entering the World of Blogging
This is the first official post for the newly married Kochs!! I decided that after reading about everyone else's interesting lives, that I needed to join in on the fun, and share mine and Mikes very laid back, slightly boring, yet exciting, adventures. First off, I am a horrible speller, so if you notice a mistake, please overlook it, and don't dwell on it, cause trust me, there will be more...Second, Mike has forced me to say that this blog, while it is called "The Kochs," is solely my undertaking. He wants no credit in the blogging area, and adamantly refuses to participate. That being said let the blogging begin...
